Science museum

Before. Merle, Anniek and I wanted to visit V&A, but we changed our minds and went to Science. We tought that there was more to do in the Science museum. People said that Science was the most fun. I didn't expect a lot of it, I never like museums! After. I was right, it was really boring! We saw a little bit of the museum, the shop and the restaurant (and it was enough). We met our classmates and chatted with them. Maybe it was a nice museum (I don't think so) but I don't know because I only saw a small part of it. We went outside, the weather was lovely. So we were sitting in the sun and waiting for the rest of the group.

Friday, 24th of April

We're going home today. I really wanted to stay a few more days, but it's also nice to go home and sleep in my own bed. Anniek and I bought some presents and we left them on the bed. Natasha brought us to Civic Centre and said goodbye to us when she left. We all went in the bus and we were really going home now. We drove to Dover and ate at the Burger King. After this we went on the boat. Again, the weather was lovely, with a hot sun. But it was only for one and a half hours so after this we had to go back in the bus. We watched a movie, but everyone was so tired! We had to drive a very long time and at a quarter past 10 we were back. My mother, sister and grandparents picked me up. I said goodbye to Heleen, Anniek and Merle, I really liked everything with them. When I was home I showed everything I bought and after this all I wanted was sleeping. I loved the trip to London so much and I'd really like to go back some time!

Thursday, 23rd of April

Today we could sleep a bit longer, Natasha woke us at half past 7. We had toast with honey as breakfast. I was so excited, today we had a lot of free time, we could do the things we wanted to do (SHOPSHOPSHOP)! But first we had to go to a museum. We chose The Science Museum. I didn't like it and it was vey boring. We only saw the shop and the restaurant. We had to waited outside, but we didn't want to wait, we wanted to shop! And finelly we could. First we went to the Abercrombie, so we could buy the things we wanted to buy yesterday. I bought a sweater and a T-shirt. After this we walked to Oxford Street. All the nice shops are here! We shopped at a lot of stores wich are not in Holland. We we're very tired so we went to Trafalgar Square. At the subway station we saw some of our classmates and we decided to go to a restaurant together. We ate delicous pizza and ice cream. But the day was not over yet! We went to Joseph And The Amazing Technocolour Dreamcoat. I already saw it in Holland and I loved it so much there! But I didn't like it here as much as I loved it in Holland. It looked so much like the movie, all the details were exectly the same. We went home and Anniek and me were sleeping very late, because we chatted before we fell asleep. I didn't want to go home! I loved it so much here!

Wednesday, 22nd of April

Again Natasha woke us at half past 7, we got dressed and we had the same breakfast as yesterday. Natasha dropped us as Civic Centre. We walked with the group to Harrow-on-the-Hill and we went to the Imperial war museum. You see a picure of Merle and me in front of the museum. I think the museum was a bit boring. We went into a dark room which was the Blitz experience. We had free time so we went shopping! Heleen, Merle, Tess, Anniek and I wanted to go to the same store as yesterday, which was hard to find, but we found it! After this we went to Shakespeare's globe. They were peforming Romeo and Juliet, so we had to be very quiet. The players were waring old clothes. After this we had free time. We were very excited because we really wanted to go to the Abercrombie! we walked as fast as we could, we didn't had very much time because it was not very close. When we arrived a women asked if she could make a picture of us with the model. And we did ♥! The shop was so nice. With all the clothes we wanted we walked to the cash register to pay, but our cars didn't work. They said: 'We don't accept meastro'. This was very dissapointing. There was no ATM to withdraw money, so we had to go back. We went back to Harrow-on-the-Hill in rush hour. The hostfamilies were waiting for us. When we were home we had dinner and took a shower. We were very tired and my feeth hurt so much so after dinner we wachted TV and we went to bed. It was a great day!

Tuesday, 21st of April

The host lady (Natasha) woke us at half past 6 and we got dressed. We went downstairs and ate our breakfast, milk with cornflakes and black tea, which was so dark it was really black! I didn't like the tea but the cornflakes were nice. At half past 7 we left and Natasha drove us to Civic Centre, the meeting point. We couldn't go in the bus because it was broken, so we had to walk and use the subway. But we walked two times wrong to get there. We walked to Harrow-on-the-Hill and we went to Wembley Stadium. We had 30 minutes free time, but there were no nice shops. After this we went to Buckingham Palace. It was very crowed because it was the birthday of the queen. We lucnhed at a park and had half an hour free time. We were sitting in the grass, made pictures and enjoyed the lovely weather ☀. We walked to Trafalgar Square and again we had free time. We found a Starbucks (I love it!). After this break we walked to the Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. We made a boat tour on the Thames and saw all the highlights. We had more free time so Merle, Anniek, Heleen, Tess and me went SHOPPING! We found a store which we loved, but we didn't have time to buy anything. When we were back at Harrow on the Hill Anniek, Heleen, Merle, Tess and me were allowed to go to the Primark! It is a very big store with very nice and very cheap clothes. We went home and had dinner. It was delicious! Pizza, chips and spaghetti. After dinner we took a shower, watched TV and we went to bed. My feeth were very tired, but the day was so much fun!

Monday, 20th of April

We're going to London! I was so excited, I hoped it would be a week with a lot of fun. We had to be at school at a quarter to 10. I sad goodbye to my mom and sister and did my suitcase in the bus. The bus was ready to go, but we saw Lima standing outside. Later we heared that she lost her ID-card, so she couldn't go with us to London. At 10 o'clock we left school, and the fun started. In the bus I was sitting next to Merle. We wachted movies, listened to music and took pictures of each other. We had some problems about the rooms, but they were solved after we discussed it. When we reached Calais we had to wait a long time in the bus for the ID-check. Somewhere between 4 and 5 the boat left. The weather was so nice! It was very sunny so we made a lot of pictures on the boat. After one and a half hour we we driving again, but not on the right side but on the left side! We had to be in the bus for more than two hours and we were very tired went we reached the meeting point. The host families were waiting for us. I shared a room with Anniek. The house was small, but it was very clean. We were not hungry and after we watched TV we went to bed. It was a nice first day in London!
